Battle of Badr happened in the Badr valley on 17th Ramdhan in 2nd Hijriah (The First Ramadhan). Before the battle starts a soft rain fell at night that made the ground slippery and muddy. The muslims with 313 men, 2 horses and 70 camels and the Quraiysh with 1.000 men, 100 horses and 700 camels are going to fight. 

In the tradition of the Arabian Warfare the battle didn’t start with skrimish but it started with a chalanges. Three nobles from the Quraiysh Uthbah ibn Rabi’ah, his brother Shaybah bn Rabi’ah and his son Al Wallid stepped forward. Then Three men from The Muslims: Ali, Hamzah and Ubaydah stepped forward. The results is the meccan champions were cut down.

After that an attack happened which the Quraishy retreat mainly because the dead of the leaders. The result was 70 Quraiysh soldiers were dead including Abu Jahl and 70 more soldiers inprisoned.
